What is your blog about?
An Irish Italian Blessing is about my beautiful and blessed life as an Italian Wife married to my Irish Husband. Our Blessings are our beautiful daughter Kaylin, our English Bulldog Dozer, and our little baby boy on the way. I blog about everything: My life as a mom, a wife, my daughter, my pregnancy, my dog, being a student again, and all the random, crazy, awesome days I’m blessed to enjoy.

When is your EED (estimated due date)?  July 6, 201!!!!

Who did you tell the great news to first?
I know pregnancies are a blessing and I know its great news BUT don’t judge me because…I actually cried when I found out.  Eek, I know it sounds bad but I wasn’t prepared or expecting to actually be pregnant so soon so when I saw those two lines, I freaked out because I didn’t feel like I was ready for baby #2 to be on the way. I couldn’t even tell my husband the news; I just put the two tests on the bathroom counter. When he saw them, he looked at me and said “You’re pregnant?”  and I started crying….again! Oh man, talk about hormones eh?
Once I had time to digest it and be excited about it, I told my best friend Jen, then our families and close friends, and shortly after that we told everybody. Gotta love the power of Facebook.

Do you want to find out the gender of the baby or have it be a surprise?
I’m too neurotic and too much of a planner to not have found out so yes of COURSE we found out and it’s our first BOY!

Do you have name picked out?
Braden Edward

When did the pregnancy become 'real' to you?
It became real the second I saw those two lines on that pregnancy test. I knew the next 9 months were going to be dedicated to providing the best baby hotel possible for my little one and I started right away.

What are some things you are excited to experience?
As far as the pregnancy: The food! One of my most favorite things about being pregnant is how amazing food tastes. My Inner Fat Kid really shines during my pregnancies.
I’m also so incredibly excited about having a son. I’ve always wanted a son and I can’t wait to have that special Momma’s boy bond with my little guy. I can’t wait to meet him and see what he looks like and learn about his personality. I am also SUPER excited to see my little Kaylin as a Big Sister, she’s gonna be the best!

What are some cravings you've had?
Today? I really wanted Sunny Delight and White Chocolate Chip Macadamia nut cookies, which I just had : ) Throughout the pregnancy though I’ve really wanted chips, like all kinds of chips too (I don’t really discriminate) My favorites are Nacho Cheese Doritos, Cheetos, BBQ Lays or Ruffles, Regular chips with Salsa too, yum. Oh and my most random craving that I’ve never ever had before this pregnancy has been Grilled Chicken, Whole Wheat Rotini Pasta, Broccoli and Tomatoes with Italian Dressing= Random right?! How the heck my body came up with wanting this stuff I’ll never know.

What are some fears you have about being pregnant or being a parent?
Normally I try to be a tough cookie and act like nothing scares me but I’ll be real for a second:
My very first reaction to the pregnancy news was fear. I was/am so scared that my relationship with my daughter is going to change. I give her 100% of my attention now and we’re so incredibly close, I know it’s going to change and I don’t know how she and I are going to handle it.I’m also TERRIFIED about how I’m going to do “it” with two kids. Not just the day to day stuff, but like go to the grocery store or even worse: have to use a potty in a public restroom with two kiddo’s in tow, oh gosh just thinking about it gives me anxiety! I may never leave my house, LOL.

Anything else you want to share?
I love my life. I honestly feel like I have it made and I don’t know what I did to deserve such a good life.

Such a sweet post! I love that your were so excited you were pregnant you couldn't even tell your husband. How exciting for you three. Your daughter is going to be a big help. She will be the mini mom!

I loved that you said your inner fat kid comes out when you are pregnant. I was so that way. And chips yes, I wanted every salty chip I could get my hands on!
